Sidewall Shine – Tire & Plastic Dressing

  • En oferta
  • Precio habitual $14.99

Spray. Spread. Relax.
Nothing ages a car faster than grey, chalky tires and sun-bleached trim. Sidewall Shine soaks into those surfaces, rehydrates them, and leaves a rich black finish that looks detailed — not wet, not greasy, not slung all over your rear quarter panel.

Water-based, so it conditions instead of just coating. Satin if you wipe it, glossy if you layer it. You decide.

Why water-based matters

Solvent-based dressings give you a big shine on day one and dry the rubber out underneath. Water-based takes one more minute to look its best and actually feeds the surface, which is why the trim on a well-kept ten-year-old car still looks black. It also doesn't fling off the tire onto your paint at forty miles an hour.

What it does

  • Rehydrates faded surfaces — pulls grey plastic and chalky rubber back to black.
  • Finish you control — wipe it for satin, layer it for gloss.
  • Multi-surface — tires, bumpers, wheel wells, cowls, mirror caps and unpainted trim.
  • Non-greasy — no sling, no dust magnet, no shiny fingerprints on the door handle.

How to use it

  1. Make sure tires and trim are clean and dry — dressing over brake dust just seals it in.
  2. Spray onto an applicator pad, or directly onto the surface for larger trim.
  3. Spread evenly across the sidewall or panel.
  4. Let it sit 1–2 minutes, then wipe off the excess with a microfiber.

👉 Glossier: apply a second coat once the first has set.
👉 Satin: apply and wipe down immediately.

Straight talk

  • Clean first or don't bother. Old dressing and brake dust have to come off — that's what Wheel Retreat is for.
  • Wipe the excess. Skipping this is exactly how dressing ends up flung across your paint.
  • Keep it off the tread. Sidewalls only — a slippery contact patch is not the look.
  • Expect a few weeks, not a season. Water-based trades some durability for not destroying your rubber. Reapply after a wash or two.

Before you buy

Will it sling onto my paint?
Not if you wipe the excess and let it set before driving. Sling comes from over-application, not from the product.

Can I use it on interior plastic?
It's built for exterior trim. Interior dash and door cards are better served by a dedicated interior product — this will look too shiny in there.

How long does it last?
A couple of weeks on a daily driver, longer on a garaged car. Rain shortens it.

What do I apply it with?
A foam applicator for tires, a folded microfiber for trim. Our Lazy Plush 3-Pack works — just keep those towels for dressing only from then on.

Black tires make a clean car look new.
