How to Use Hampton E85 Mix Calculator
Follow these steps to nail your ethanol blend every single time.
1. Verify Pump Ethanol Content
Start by identifying the actual ethanol content of the fuel at your local station. While common values are E80 and E10, these can vary by region and season. If you are unsure, use this simple and reliable kit for a precise reading: Easy Ethanol Test Kit.
2. Complete the App Workflow
Input your vehicle and fuel details into the designated fields:
- Enter your Tank Size (gal).
- Select your desired Target Mix (e.g., E30 to E85).
- Set your Current Fuel Level using the slider.
- Input the Ethanol % for both your pump gas and pump ethanol.
3. Get Precise Fuel Percentage
If your car's physical gauge is difficult to read or inaccurate, tap the "Help find my fuel %" button. Simply enter your vehicle's Average MPG and the Miles to Empty displayed on your dash to calculate your current percentage instantly.
4. Professional Mixing Tips
For the most consistent results, always add the calculated amount of high-ethanol fuel (E85) to your tank first, followed immediately by the required gallons of regular pump gas. This ensures thorough mixing as the tank fills.
